Nicole Hubbard grew up in Rockwall, TX and started taking dance classes at 8 years old. She quickly fell in love with dancing and was on competitive teams through local dance studios as well as on her middle and high school drill teams from the age of 9 until 18! Her high school competitive team won multiple national titles; many of which were won her senior year where she served as Captain of the team. While trained in lyrical, contemporary, pom, hip hop her favorite style to perform was jazz. She also taught dance classes throughout high school at the studio she began dancing at and her love for dancing shifted into teaching! She continued to take dance classes through college. Once she moved to Colorado, she felt it was the perfect opportunity to embrace her love for teaching dance by joining the KDA team! Her biggest drive to teach dance stems from the love she developed for the art as a child and creating a safe space where kids can embrace themselves, gain confidence in their abilities and push them to do new things. Her favorite thing about teaching dance is watching her students come out of their shell and fall in love with the same thing as her that made her who she is today.
