Originally from North Carolina, Ben began dancing when he was 14 years old at his local high school. There he trained primarily in modern, contemporary, jazz and ballet.
After high school Ben went on to the Boston Conservatory at Berklee where he trained daily, and was able to perform works by Jennifer Archibald, Bill T. Jones, and Kurt Douglas. After spending two years at the Conservatory he moved to New York City to join the GibneyPro Cohort, led by Alexandra Wells. There he worked with choreographers such as Sidra Bell, Peter Chu, Lea Ved, and Laja field.
At the conclusion of GibneyPro Ben moved to Chicago to join South Chicago Dance Theatre, founded and led by Kia Smith. With SCDT Ben, has had the opportunity to perform at the Auditorium theatre and in works by Kate Weare, Tsai-Hsi Hung, and Kia Smith.
