Kalila Grant

Kalila Grant began dancing at 13, training in ballet, jazz, and hip hop at Fresh Dance Studio in Oak Park, MI. She continued honing her skills across four studios in Metro Detroit, participating in both recreational and competitive programs. In high school, Kalila studied modern Dunham and Horton techniques under Lisa Reynolds, earning a diploma in performing arts dance.

In college, Kalila joined Orchesis Dance Company and NRG Dance at Michigan State University, performing in 12 shows and opening for the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena. She choreographed for three of Orchesis's shows and cherishes the opportunity to grow as a choreographer and instructor. Kalila earned a minor in dance at Michigan State University, training under esteemed instructors and exploring various styles, from contemporary to musical theatre.

Currently, she trains at Visceral Dance in Chicago, focusing on movement quality in contemporary and hip hop. Kalila hopes to one day own a studio that inspires both youth and adults!
