Cait's early dance training spanned programs in California, Texas, and Illinois. She began her formal training with Talent Forum of Libertyville, Illinois, performing in the prestigious youth ensembles Forum Jazz Dance Theatre and Footprints Tap Ensemble, where she served as Rehearsal Director for many years. After early graduation from high school, she continued her studies on scholarship at Giordano Dance Center. Cait stepped into her professional performing career sharing the stage with Chicago Tap Theatre, freelancing, and performing in New York Stage Originals' production of Tap Kids, with which she toured the Netherlands and United States eastern coast.
An avid choreographer, Cait's work has been seen at Happy Feet and Fame movie promotions, industrials at Rotary International Headquarters, the Shedd Aquarium, Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art, The Venetian in Las Vegas, and television commercials for AOL, Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, and Lawson Products. She has also choreographed theater productions at College of Lake County, and works for concerts hosted by Dance Chicago, Chicago Human Rhythm Project, Dance For Life, and the Russian International Dance Collaboration. Cait's work has won top awards at dance competitions and has placed within the top five in state for high school dance teams.
As a dance leader, Cait served as Artistic Director of Footprints Tap Ensemble, continuing her involvement with the renowned youth tap company for over 19 years. She spent many years contracting across the Midwest as a sought-out instructor for prestigious studios, as well as a guest instructor for a multitude of workshops and intensives. In 2009, Cait founded and currently directs TranscenDance Studios in Oak Park, Illinois, along with its award-winning competitive youth team program.
Cait hopes to provide her students, staff, and community with the tools to be successful in the dance world as well as in all other facets of life.
